Coding Unplugged by Rachel D.

Yesterday we did an unplugged activity.  There were patterns and each partner had to program it on a piece of paper for the other partner to follow.  They had to draw the pattern on a graph. Today we made up robots and drew them on paper.  Everyone came up with a different name, a purpose, and how tall their robots are.  This helped us understand how variables work when programming. What is a variable? It is a placeholder for a piece of information that may change. This week was so fun.

Q. A Chef, An Artist, and A Snowman Maker: How Are They Connected? by Ryan

Peas for dinner

Answer: Coding. We are currently working on code projects on a website called Kahn Academy. I have used code commands such as ellipse, rect, triangle, and fill. They all do certain things including making circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, and coloring them all in. When put together, those things can make snowmen, pizza, paint palettes, and much more. Once we are done with a project, we can post it on a class website called Other classmates and teachers can view your post and comment on the project you made. This weeks technology is so much fun and me and my friends can't wait to do more coding.
